Please join Greenwood Lake in celebrating its 100th year! The village is inviting you to take part in our centennial parade. We are seeking bands, organizations, groups and businesses to march or build a float that fits with our theme: “Iconic Greenwood Lake through the years.” Our goal for this parade is to travel through time and remind everyone of the joy the lake has brought us over the last 100 years! Marchers are encouraged to dress up, build elaborate floats, perform skits, dances and play music.

Parade Date: August 17, 2024

Parade Step Off time: 11 am, Lineup Time: 10:00am,

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: June 15th, 2024.


PARADE FLOAT GUIDELINES

  • Floats must be sturdy and able to safely hold all occupants.
  • You must supply your own float and vehicle.
  • Float vehicle choices:
    • Boat/pontoon on a trailer pulled by a truck or car capable of towing the weight of the trailer
    • Pickup Truck
    • Trailer pulled by a truck or car capable of towing the weight of the trailer.
  • Floats with standing riders must have rails or sides, or riders must be seated .
  • Spotters are encouraged.
  • Floats and trailers should have walkers beside each side. Their job is to keep the crowd and children away from the vehicle. Spotters should be 18 years of age or older.
